The Grinch Village is inspired by the classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Suess. Theodor Suess Geissel's work not only inspired a cartoon movie classic but a big screen movie as well. In 2017, Department 56 offered an eighteen piece resin set for sale only through Costco Canada, the National Council of 56 Clubs (NCC) and Department 56.com
